My father is "bugging" out because his PC has been hijacked. The HijackThis log is below. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Lets try this method for dealing with the problem.

Please download and unzip About:Buster from either of the following locations:
http://www.atribune.org/downloads/AboutBuster.zip
http://tools.zerosrealm.com/AboutBuster.zip

Please move HJT to its own permanent folder and with it only running fix these:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {82343F55-83B5-716C-487B-A6A55FF736A8} - C:\WINDOWS\winbv.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mfcod32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\mfcod32.exe

Close ALL Internet Explorer windows.
This is a very important step!!
Run AboutBuster.exe, click ok, then start, then OK.
This will scan your computer for the files responsible for hijacking your home and/or search settings/page. (It takes a while to complete)
Reboot and post a new HijackThis log back here along with the report from About:Buster.

Let me know and be patient, MrC
Below is the current status. The first time I ran AboutBuster I forgot to highlight and save the report so I went through the whole process again. Thanks for any help.

Reboot and post a fresh log, let me know how it's running. MrC
Seems to have worked. I've attached latest HJT log. If you see something else please let me know. Other message boards only gave me bogus info. Thanks for the help.

Just have HJT fix these two:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

It seems you fixed the wrong one before, I wanted you to fix this one with 'no file'

O18 - Protocol: icoo - {4A8DADD4-5A25-4D41-8599-CB7458766220} - (no file)

but you fixed this one:

O18 - Protocol: cetihpz - {CF184AD3-CDCB-4168-A3F7-8E447D129300} - C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\comp\hpuiprot.dll

HJT makes backups so you should be able to restore it and delete the right one.
Let me know if you have any more problems and you should post a fresh HJT log when you're done for a final check, MrC
I did remove this one: O18 - Protocol: icoo - {4A8DADD4-5A25-4D41-8599-CB7458766220} - (no file) but I think it came back. I also did a fresh install of his HP printer, could that be causing this one?: O18 - Protocol: cetihpz - {CF184AD3-CDCB-4168-A3F7-8E447D129300} - C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\comp\hpuiprot.dll
I thought it was OK. Seems like he has a problem again. He was reinstalling his PopUp Stopper program and it acted up again. I had him restore to a previous point and run run Ad-Aware and SpyBot, reboot and run HJT. The log is below.

There's new AboutBuster out and a revised method to use it, goes like this:

Please download and unzip AboutBuster to a folder.

Reboot into SafeMode (instructions) (<—this is important) and bring up your task manager (ctrl, alt, delete) and end task on any funny looking, random name files like this - cvqqm.exe, coxjz.exe, javabt32.exe, mfclt.exe, etc.

Now run AboutBuster.

Reboot and post a fresh HJT log and we'll get the rest of it.. MrC
I'm in safe mode with the processes running. What about lsass.exe, or csrss.exe, or smss.exe. Should I end any of these?
