vista sp2

After log in taskbar flashes 2 times on second time back drop flashes on off then back on and the event logger is loaded with 1000's of httpevent 15021 which points to a bad cert. so i raised a command prompt and ran netsh http show sslcert, then realized there are 1000's as i started deleting them so i could add a new cert but iam a newbie and cannot figure out how to delete all the bad certs @ onetime and i dont belive this is the whole problem. If i had a vista cd i would just repair as i dont and has a lot of work files on here iam just trying todo the best i can

Some questions:

Are you generating your own SSL certificate? If so, what process are you using/following to do so?
Are you using IIS?

well i went and got a new notebook and will just have to upgrade the vista at a later date iam debating over windows7 pro or ultimate the 2nd link you posted cleaned in windows but not c:\ i had read the 1st post already. i thank you for your help

I went with Pro, could not find anything in Ultimate that I wanted. About the only thing I don't have with Pro is the ability to run Virtual Drives which I don't care about as I can run XP Mode and/or Oracle VirtualBox.
