Help.. I have AVG, AVira, Spybot, Malware bytes, spywareblaster and none can update. When i try to click on links it tells me that a connection cannnot be made or it takes 10 minutes to load the page. When i click diagnose the problem it says there are no connection problems.. Hello and Welcome to the forum.

Looks like you're running 3 anti-virus programs.

Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with each other, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.


1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove 2 of the 3 listed
AVG9
Avast5
Avira

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.


Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

I have removed Avira and Avast. I only added these as a last ditch effort when AVG would not update. A couple of days ago AVG said it couldn't update. When I go to many antivirus or malware sites (and some others) the page tries to load for a minute then says …Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage….When I click diagnose it says that there is not a problem. I can go to google, yahoo and some other web pages. When i click your link to ATF cleaner I get the same problem. I tried to go directly to the atribune. No GO. I can play WOW without any problems. So it isn't a connection problem that I can tell. My husbands XP machine is having the same problem. If you email me the exe file I will probably be able to download it that way- not sure. If not I will have to download it to a flash drive on my work computer tomorrow. Do you want a new hijack this log? I also have OTL if it helps.

I was able to downlost atf cleaner at work and ran it when i got home.

When I ran OTL the "Extras" log did not show up. Dont know why. Here is he OTL log.

With Admin Rights (Right click on HijackTHis each time you use it, choose "Run as Administrator")

Two of the items you had me fix came back. AVG still will not connect and most websites will not load it.

You can open Internet Explorer without add-ons in 2 ways. One way to open is to navigate to start menu-> All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Internet Explorer (no Add-ons). This opens up IE without ActiveX controls and browser extensions.
