No one is complaining of recieving spam from me, I have run Spybot and Nod32 without any problems showing up. Allan
Hello Allan and welcome to WTT forum.

My name is Satchfan and I would be glad to help you with your computer problem. Please read the following guidelines which will help to make cleaning your machine easier:
• Please do not install/uninstall any programs unless asked to.
• Please do not run any scans other than those requested
• Please follow all instructions in the order posted
• Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
• If you don't understand something, please don't hesitate to ask for clarification before proceeding
• The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
• Please reply within 3 days. If you do not reply within this period I will post a reminder but topics with no reply in 4 days will be closed!
Please note that I am still in training and my replies need to be checked by an expert in order for you to receive the best possible advice. This may result in a small delay between my posts but I shall try to keep this to a minimum.

Before I can help you I need a look at what is happening on your computer, so please do the following:

Run OTL

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Right-click on the icon and choose Run as Administrator to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in:

    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    eventlog.dll
    scecli.dll
    netlogon.dll
    cngaudit.dll
    sceclt.dll
    ntelogon.dll
    logevent.dll
    iaStor.sys
    nvstor.sys
    atapi.sys
    IdeChnDr.sys
    viasraid.sys
    AGP440.sys
    vaxscsi.sys
    nvatabus.sys
    viamraid.sys
    nvata.sys
    nvgts.sys
    iastorv.sys
    ViPrt.sys
    eNetHook.dll
    ahcix86.sys
    KR10N.sys
    nvstor32.sys
    ahcix86s.sys
    nvrd32.sys
    symmpi.sys
    adp3132.sys
    mv61xx.sys
    nvraid.sys
    /md5stop
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /90
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
  • You may need two posts to fit them both in.

Download the GMER Rootkit Scanner

[external image: Posted Image]
Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here or here.
  • Extract the contents of the zipped file to desktop.
  • Double click GMER.exe. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan…click on NO.

    [external image: Posted Image]
Click the image to enlarge it

  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following …
    • IAT/EAT
    • All drives/partitions except C:\)
    • Show All (don't miss this one)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.
  • Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop, and attach it in your reply.
**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<— ROOKIT" entries

Logs to include with next post:

OTL.txt
Extras.txt
Gmer.txt

Hi allen

I've received your reply and will look at the logs as quickly as I can.

I also asked you to run Gmer which hasn't been included. This is an important scan that helps us look for different hidden infections, so please try to run it and send that log also. Let me know if you have problems running it.

Thanks

Satchfan
Here is the Gmer scan… I hope I have saved this correctly as it there's not in the file!!!!!

Thanks for the Gmer scan. As I'm in the UK and it's quite late here, (12:30 GMT), I'm afraid I won't be replying tonight so please be patient while I look through your logs and get back as quickly as possible. Satchfan
Hello again allan gray

With your e-mail, what you're seeing is called ”spoofing" or more correctly "From-spoofing" - sending email that appears as if it's coming "From:" someone that it is not.

The “From:” address is meaningless in spam - it tells you absolutely nothing, but it is just spam and not coming from you.

Please download SystemLook from one of the links below and save it to your Desktop.

Download Mirror #1
Download Mirror #2

  • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
  • Copy the content of the following codebox into the main textfield:

    :dir
    C:\ProgramData\{BD986C1B-72EC-4B82-B47B-6CAC4E6F494E}
    C:\Windows\DED53B0BB67C4244AE6AD6FD3C28D1EF.TMP

    :file
    D:\WS.exe

  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
  • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please post this log in your next reply.
Note: The log can also be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

Run OTL

  • Double click on the icon to run it.
  • Copy/paste ALL the following text written inside the code box into the Custom Scans/Fixes box located at the bottom of OTL

    :OTL
    O33 - MountPoints2\{74f4d968-47f0-11de-8568-002511082aa1}\Shell\AutoRun\command - "" = E:\InstallTomTomHOME.exe – File not found
    O33 - MountPoints2\{a096bc81-3e6c-11de-8316-806e6f6e6963}\Shell - "" = AutoRun
    O33 - MountPoints2\{a096bc81-3e6c-11de-8316-806e6f6e6963}\Shell\AutoRun\command - "" = D:\WS.exe – [2006/03/13 12:47:18 | 000,017,920 | R— | M] ()

    :Commands
    [purity]
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]

  • Then click the Run Fix button at the top
  • Let the program run unhindered, reboot when it is done
  • Then post a new OTL log (don't check the boxes beside LOP Check or Purity this time)

Download Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware

Click here• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish..
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
• The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.
NOTE: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

To include with next post:

SystemLook.txt
OTL.txt
Mbam.txt

Thanks
