I am positng this as a new topic because it won't let me reply back to you (it says permissions error). Your instrecutions also say not to reply to my own original post. If I comply with both, I have to start a new topic each time I reply. If I am not doing it right, please understnad, as this seems like a cumbersome & potentially confusing way to do replies. Anyway, at your last msg to me you asked me to post the DDS log and attach the Attach.txt file. I have pasted the DDS Log below and attached both files. Please let me know what to do next. BTW, the computer is still slow and Norton finds a dozen or so Trojan Horses and malware items everytime it scans. It fixes them but they recur so it must not be getting them at the source. Here's the DDS log: DDS (Ver_10-03-17.01) - NTFSx86 Run by [removed] at 16:26:12.79 on Sun 07/25/2010 Internet Explorer: 8.0.6001.18928 Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium 6.0.6002.2.1252.1.1033.18.894.246 [GMT -4:00] SP: Windows Defender *enabled* (Updated) {D68DDC3A-831F-4FAE-9E44-DA132C1ACF46} ============== Running Processes =============== C:\Windows\system32\wininit.exe C:\Windows\system32\lsm.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k DcomLaunch C:\Windows\system32\nvvsvc.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k rpcss C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe -k LocalSystemNetworkRestricted C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k GPSvcGroup C:\Windows\system32\SLsvc.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalService C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k NetworkService C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNoNetwork C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Portrait Displays\Shared\DTSRVC.exe c:\Program Files\Common Files\LightScribe\LSSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Norton 360\Engine\4.2.0.12\ccSvcHst.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k NetworkServiceNetworkRestricted C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k imgsvc C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe -k WerSvcGroup C:\Windows\system32\SearchIndexer.exe C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\xaudio.exe C:\Windows\system32\DllHost.exe C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe c:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Health Check\hphc_service.exe C:\Program Files\Norton 360\Engine\4.2.0.12\ccSvcHst.exe C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe C:\hp\support\hpsysdrv.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\On-Screen OSD Indicator\OSD.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft IntelliPoint\ipoint.exe C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe C:\Windows\System\w98eject.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Works Shared\WkCalRem.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnscfg.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnetwk.exe C:\Windows\system32\schtasks.exe C:\Windows\system32\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k SDRSVC C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Google Toolbar\GoogleToolbarUser_32.exe C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil10h_ActiveX.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Users\bearhunter\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\1X1F8QW4\dds[1].scr C:\Windows\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe ============== Pseudo HJT Report =============== uStart Page = hxxp://www.google.com/ uSearch Page = hxxp://www.google.com uSearch Bar = hxxp://www.google.com/ie uDefault_Search_URL = hxxp://www.google.com/ie mStart Page = hxxp://ie.redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr?TYPE=3&tp=iehome&locale=EN_US&c=74&bd=Pavilion&pf=desktop mDefault_Page_URL = hxxp://ie.redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr?TYPE=3&tp=iehome&locale=EN_US&c=74&bd=Pavilion&pf=desktop uInternet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local uSearchAssistant = hxxp://www.google.com/ie uSearchURL,(Default) = hxxp://www.google.com/search?q=%s BHO: {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - Did you do this as I suggested in your other topic?

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:
1. These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them
2. With Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.

You might want to print these instructions out.

I suggest you do this:

XP Users

Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
