Although I have repeatedly run Spy Sweeper, AdAware, and Spybot, those same problems (spyware, Adware, malware) come back almost immediately, including about:blank. Today when I looked at my Norton anti virus software, the auto protect had been changed from on to off, and the e-mail scan had been changed from yes to no. I did not change them, so I am sure I have more problems. When I clicked on the enable button to turn on the Norton auto protect, it did not work. In addition, when I re-opened Norton, the enable button was gone. My e-mail would not run and my system runs very slow. I rebooted, which took 15 minutes, and then my e-mail worked again. After reading this board, I downloaded HijackThis and went to config & misc tools & generate startup list log:
Can someone take a look at this please and help me figure out how to repair this?
