I was on a secure site that I always visit last night when suddenly something callled Antispyware soft started scanning. It's logo is a green shield with a check in the center in my bottom right taskbar. There was an Antivirus software alert in the bottom task bar "infiltration alert-your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password stealing attack, a trojan-a dropper or similar. Details: attack from: 82.146.158.127, port 51444, attacked port:39535, threat: Win32/Nugel. E. Do you want to block this attack? Yes or no" If I choose yes, IE comes up asking to purchase antivirus protection. If I click no, alerts keep on popping up.
A Windows Security Center pops up and says virus protection is out of date.
A Windows Security alert comes up and says "Windows reports that computer is infected. Antivirus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan you computer. Your system might be at risk now. I click it and the Antispyware soft scan starts running." *This alert is constant. It will go away by itself but keeps coming back a few minutes later.*
AntiVir won't work. It says that it's infected.
I tried to screencap it but says Paint was infected too.
I tried running DDS, but it says that it's infected and won't run.
ETA: I ran AntiVir two days ago and it found 3 detections but they were quarantined so I didn't think anything of it; my computer was running normally beforehand and yesterday before the pop ups started.
ETA: All popups and security alerts seem to have stopped by themselves. DDS now runs.
