i don't have FF profile manager. the "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profilemanager just runs FF and nothing else. i have no profile manager link on start menu either

I just tried both

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profilemanager

and
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P

and they both opened Profile Manager.

If it doesn't work for you then I would suggest asking in the FireFox forum, why you can't start Profile Manager.
