Antivirus Plus; Worm.Win32.Netsky;computer locked

Hi, i have windows xp and i have the Antivirus Plus and Worm.win32.netsky viruses (possibly more.) i couldnt access the internet while in normal startup mode b/c the worm wold spam email and cuase my internet to crash. So i opened the computer in safe mode and downloaded SpyBot search & destroy. I ran Spybot and it detected many trojans and various spy/malware and so i hit the delete infected files button. It cleared almost everything except for one; which it then said if i would allow S&D to restart my computer and then it could delete the remaining infection. so i did. when the restart came up, it opened it in normal settings and then the desktop wouldn't appear (just the background picture-no icons, toolbar, start menu) so then i turned it off and started it up in safe mode where it took me to the log in screen. two appeared- owner and adminstrator- i was locked out. when i clicked either it would have small print underneath- logging in..settings blahblhablah. i dont even know if i deleted any viruses. help please.

-Antivirus Plus
-Worm.Win32.netsky
-Locked out of computer

Go to the Spyware / Malware / Virus Removal forum, read the info there and follow the posted directions. Once you receive a clean bill of health, come back here if you have any additional questions or concerns or it turns out not to be a malware problem.

What Windows OS are you using?
Maybe try system restore.

id first like to thank you both for replying. @Ztruker- i cannot continue with the cleaning procedure because i am locked out of the computer. im using windows xp. amd athalon. if i do the system restore, wont i lose my data? i need that data.

XP home. i also dont have the system recovery cd

1. Click Start. 2. Point to All Programs. 3. Point to Accessories. 4. Point to System Tools. 5. Click System Restore. 6. Follow the instructions on the wizard. See if you can find a date the the PC worked.

i cannot log in. when i try accessing in normal mode, the desktop background shows up, but no icons/start menu. nothing works there. when opened in safe mode- it goes to loggin -owner and administrator. when clicked it says "loadign personal files…" then "saving personal files…" and just stops and stays at loggin sreen.

In Normal Mode does Taskmanager work? Alt/Ctrl/Del (all 3 at the same time).
