Not a chance… As stated in a previous post, the process ends then it reappears within 2 seconds. But other processes such as "Steam" I disabled and they have not returned. Is it safe to assume this is an AVG security thing. ?
Well there is always a first time. Is there some serious head scratching to be done or do you think you can identify another option.? Again, massive thanks for all this.
I'm headed to bed but will check back in the morning.

Lets try an online scan

http://www.eset.eu/online-scanner
Go here to run an online scannner from ESET.
Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
Click Start
When asked, allow the activex control to install
Click Start
Make sure that the option Remove found threats is unticked, and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Scan
Wait for the scan to finish
Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic.

Reboot

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Done. Askbar wasn't there though. After reboot it loaded up rather slow, the internet was slow to load up, but after the initial load the system and internet are working well enough. Not saying they are working like a new computer but they are working better.
I was hoping we could have gotten Combofix to run but everything looks good to me.

We can try one more thing with CF.

Make sure Combofix is on your desktop.

  • Now physically disconnect from the internet and STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) that you can.
  • Click on your START button and choose Run. Then copy/paste the entire content of the following quotebox (Including the "" marks and the Symbols) into the run box.

    Go to [external image: Posted Image] -> Run -> copy/paste in the following single line command & click OK

    "%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /killall

    [external image: Posted Image]
  • Click OK and this will start ComboFix in a special way.
  • When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to a Notepad File to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log.

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

* After you have saved the logs, restart your system to re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix.

* Reconnect to the internet

* Post the following logs/Reports:
  • ComboFix.txt
