I only have about 5minutes worth of time before it BSOD's but the stop error is :

STOP : 0x0000003F

I've gotten it before, it went away, now it's back but it's every time on Log in. Here's the HighJack this Log.

Please and thanks for the help
Aton,

Welcome back. :wavey:

Let's see if you can stay running long enough to remove the surface "gunk".

Download TFC to your desktop
  • Close any open windows.
  • Double click the TFC icon to run the program
  • TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,
  • Click the Start button to begin the process.
  • Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.
  • The program should not take long to finish it's job
  • Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,
  • if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean

Then

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.
  • Note: If you receive a notice that some of the items couldn't be removed, that they have been added to the delete on reboot list, please reboot (shut down your computer then restart it).
Also "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Soon as I ran TFC I got a BSOD. For Error Stop: 0x000000F4 I believe. something about malicious software. idk. I can't stay on running long enough for either. Is there a way to see anything in my HJT?
Aton,

I can't see what it doesn't show. Let's get a deeper scan that runs faster than Mbam.

Please download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links and save it to your desktop.
    • DDS.scr
    • DDS.pif
  • Disable any script blocking protection (How to Disable your Security Programs)
  • Double click DDS icon to run the tool (may take up to 3 minutes to run)
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • After a few moments, attach.txt will open in a second window.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.
—————————————————
  • Post the contents of the DDS.txt report in your next reply
  • Attach the Attach.txt report to your post by scroling down to the Attachments area and then clicking Browse. Browse to where you saved the file, and click Open and the click UPLOAD.

Aton,

Hopefully your computer will hang together long enough for this one.

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link –> http://forums.whatthetech.com/How_Disable_…ams_t96260.html

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

[external image: Posted Image]

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Notes:

1. Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
2. Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
3. ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making I-E the default browser.
4. Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CD, floppy and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you – please tell your helper.
5. CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.
I get a yellow popup on the bottom right saying : The file \Combofix\NETSVC~2.DAT is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the CHKDSK Utility. Found 3 Folders in my c:\ named: "00c252d8c15c07cd9b", "49e360ba0ebeac4b649f", and "32788R22FWJFW". The "32788R22FWJFW" has a notepad document that says s/^HKEY_C.*CurrentVersionRun/HKCU-Run/I; s/^HKEY_L.*CurrentVersionRun/HKLM-Run/I; s/^HKEY_U.*CurrentVersionRun/HKU-Default-Run/I; s/^HKEY_C.*ExplorerRun/HKCU-Explorer_Run/I; s/^HKEY_L.*ExplorerRun/HKLM-Explorer_Run/I; s/^HKEY_U.*ExplorerRun/HKU-Default-Explorer_Run/I;, and another that says : AV: AntiVir Desktop *On-access scanning disabled* (Updated) {AD166499-45F9-482A-A743-FDD3350758C7}. It has about 150 more Texts/Run/Exe's. Is this normal? Also I typed in cmd in the run and did "fsutil dirty query c:". It said the Volume is labeled - Dirty. I tried to do a quick fix with "chkdsk c: /f /r" and it said "Cannot open volume for direct access."
Aton,

Please download the OTM by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTM.exe to run it.
(Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • Copy the lines inside the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    :Processes

    [Reboot]
  • Return to OTM, right click in the "Paste Instructions for Items to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTM
Note: If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.
Got a virus called Windows Police Pro. First I gotta remove it from my registry so I;ll get bac to you when its gone. It doesnt let me run anything if I don't get rid of it.
Aton,

How do you know you have it?

How are you going to proceed with it's removal?

Please download the Win32kDiag.exe tool from the following location and save it to your desktop:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/rootr…/Win32kDiag.exe

Once downloaded, double-click on the program and let it finish. When it states Finished! Press any key to exit…, you can press any key on your keyboard to close the program. On your desktop should now be a file called Win32kDiag.txt.

Double-click on this file and post the contents as a reply to this topic.
I had the file, went into my registry, deleted it there - then in my other places too. It's gone, but I'll post a log anyway.
Right now - I keep getting errors from desote.exe.

Sayys things link c:\(Program Name).exe

[external image: Posted Image]

And then error in the taskbar part. I don't know what's going on but I log on and 27 of them popup.

Aton,

You have a nasty Rootkit onboard.

We need to run the following command to fix some malware related changes.
  • Click on Start -> Run, and copy-paste the following command (the bolded text) into the "Open" box, and click OK:

    "%userprofile%\desktop\win32kdiag.exe" -f -r

  • When it's finished, there will be a log called Win32kDiag.txt on your desktop. Please open it with notepad and post the contents here.
