Hello,

My computer on its own accord is opening IE windows.
I have installed AVG and done loads of scans, although when i update AVG its seems to take a long time then pauses and says no updates found.
I down loaded malwarebytes, but i cant get it to self extract, it goes so far then encounters a problem.

Whenever i run a search on Firefox, the links allways open a seperate page to redirect me somewhere else.

Here is the hijackthislog.

Hello and [external image: Posted Image]

My name is Perplexus and I will be helping you fix your computer problem.

Please note that these fixes are not instantaneous. Most infections require more than one round to properly eradicate, so stay with me until given the 'all clear' even if symptoms diminish. Lack of symptoms does not always mean the job is complete.

Before we proceed to clean your computer from malware there are some points you should consider that will make the process go smoother:
  • To make sure that you receive an email when this topic is updated, please click here and check that this topic is listed under Malware Removal and Spyware Removal.
  • Before beginning the fix, read this post completely. If there's anything that you do not understand, please ask your questions before proceeding as you may temporarily be disconnected from the internet. No question is considered dumb here. It's better to be safe than sorry!
  • Please print out or copy this page to Notepad in order to assist you when carrying out the following instructions.
  • It is IMPORTANT that you do not miss a step & perform everything in the correct order/sequence.
  • Kindly follow my instructions and please do no fixing on your own or running of scanners unless requested, as it can be very dangerous and cause harm to your system.
  • When posting logs, please ensure Wordwrap is turned off in Notepad (to check, open Notepad in the menubar click on Format and make sure that Word Wrap is unchecked)
———————————————————————————————

——————
Step 1:
——————

Too Many Antivirus Programs Installed

You have too many Antivirus programs installed. Antivirus programs often conflict and can cause system slowdowns, crashes, or even leave you unprotected. Select one of these to keep and remove the others:

  • AVG - Download and run the AVG removal tool from HERE. This should get rid of AVG.
  • Kaspersky Antivirus - Go HERE and follow the instructions to completely remove Kaspersky Antivirus.
.

——————
Step 2:
——————

Download Security Check by screen317 from here or here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

——————
Step 3:
——————

Download SysProt Antirootkit to your desktop from HERE.
  • Unzip it into a folder on your desktop.
  • Double-click Sysprot.exe
  • Click on the Log tab.
  • In the Write to log box select all items.
  • Click on the Create Log button on the bottom right.
  • After a few seconds a new Window should appear.
  • Make sure Scan all drives is selected and click on the Start button.
  • When it is complete a new Window will appear to indicate that the scan is finished.
  • A log file named SysProtLog.txt will be saved automatically in the same folder. Open the text file and copy/paste the log here.

——————
Step 4:
——————

To ensure that I get all the information this log will need to be attached (instructions at the end) if it is to large to attach then upload to Mediafire and post the sharing link.

Download OTS to your Desktop
  • Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
  • Double-click on OTS.exe to start the program.
  • Check the box that says Scan All Users
  • Under Additional Scans check the following:
    • Evnt - EventViewer Logs (Last 10 Errors)
    • File - Lop Check
    • File - Purity Scan
  • Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  • Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
  • When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  • Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.
Please attach the log in your next post.

To attach a file, do the following:
  • Click Add Reply
  • Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box
  • Click on [external image: Posted Image] to insert the attachment into your post

——————
Step 5:
——————

Please post back with the following:
  • checkup.txt
  • SysProtLog.txt
  • OTS log
