[Resolved] My website has been hacked by a HTTP Malicious Javascr

Hi,

I'm a complete novice at technical stuff, so I need some hand-holding and patience. A reader of my website has recently informed me that my "website contains an "HTTP Malicious Javascript Encoder" from brasilianstoree.info. It was blocked by our systems, but it is very nasty and could harm others."

I also discovered today that when my website loaded, it was redirected to AskLots.com, and I think this may be part of the problem. I also think my ftp server was compromised due to an error with WordPress. I was getting a WordPress admin error that my wp-content/backup-db file might be visible to the public, and so it took me a while, but I found the solution to fix that. Having said all this, I'm still getting the site re-direction to AskLots.com. I've run AVG full scan, SpyBot, MalwareBytes, etc., etc., etc., but nothing is found. I've even searched my ftp files for "aff.php" after reading another forum's discussion about the same thing, but it found nothing. I just now downloaded and run Hijack This, and here is my log:

I'm also still getting the AVG warning when my browser opens about the "brasilianstoree.info" file/site, but internet searches for that term "brasilianstoree.info" only brings me to one website that warns against any non-technical person even viewing that site - it's a list, supposedly, of very very bad IP addresses and/or domains.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm afraid to continue to post on my website because I don't want to lose readership.

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.

You might want to print these instructions out.

1. These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe)
2. With Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.


Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All

Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Next:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.

  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected .
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.
  • Note: If you receive a notice that some of the items couldn't be removed, that they have been added to the delete on reboot list, please reboot.
Also "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.


Please don't attach the scans / logs, use "copy/paste". .

Did you want me to post the MalwareBytes Log, too? It found no errors, but the log ran.

Open Notepad, click on Format and uncheck Word Wrap.

Open HijackThis ( Run as Administrator) and select: Do a system scan and save a log file.

When the scan is finished, Click Edit> Select All> Edit> Copy> and paste its contents here [Add Reply].

Do this first…Important

Disable the TeaTimer, leave it disabled, do not turn it back on until we're done or it will prevent fixes from taking
  • Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
  • If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
  • On the left hand side, Click on Tools
  • Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
  • Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
  • Restart your computer.<–You need to do this for it to take effect
Please do not proceed until the TeaTimer is disabled


1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove if listed:

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

How do I disable TeaTimer? Deselect "Resident Protection?"

Is it shown down by time / date on the taskbar?
If so, right click on that icon and select disable.

On my toolbar, I see a grayed-out icon for "Spybot - SP Resident," and if I right-click on it, the only options I have are: Run Spybot S&D Search for Updates Resident IE Resident Protection (it's now unchecked - I unchecked it) Use Source Whitelists (checked) Use Entry Black and Whitelists (checked) Paranoid Mode Show Info Balloons Settings Reset Lists Show Log Help About Exit Spybot-S&D Resident I think it's disabled, but I'm trying to follow your instructions by the letter.
