[Closed] computer slowing down

In the last week or so my computer has gotten slower and sometimes jams up for a minute or two, below is my attempt at posting the Hijackthis log, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

All advice given by anyone volunteering here, is taken at your own risk.
While best efforts are made to assist in removing infections safely, unexpected stuff can happen.


Sorry about the delay, but the amount of people posting with infected computers is through the roof and sometimes we can't get to logs as fast as we would like to. If you have not resolved your issue and still need assistance, post a new HJT log please as your system may have changed since your original post.

I haven't had any luck yet so I have posted an updated log below. For some reason the avg seems to be using a huge amount of memory when I look in the processes.

Hi,

Not looking at anything bad on your log, lets dig a bit deeper and see what turns up.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to your desktop.

  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up
Please note: If you use online banking or are registered online with any other organizations, ensure you have memorized password and other personal information as removing cookies will temporarily disable the auto-login facility.



Please download Rooter Rootkit Detector to your Desktop
  • Doubleclick it to start the tool.
  • A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive% (usually C:\Rooter.txt.
  • Post the report for me to see.





Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.

  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected .
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.
  • Note: If you receive a notice that some of the items couldn't be removed, that they have been added to the delete on reboot list, please reboot.
Post the report and also a new HJT log please

Post the Rooter log, the Malwarebytes log and a new HJT log please

Looks like you had a rogue program installed and Malwarebytes removed it. Nothing else bad that I can see, How are things running now?
