Welcome back, wish I did not have to say that

Your infected with a rogue anti spyware program C:\Program Files\Protection System I doubt very much if you can uninstall this.

Download TFC to your desktop
  • Close any open windows.
  • Double click the TFC icon to run the program
  • TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,
  • Click the Start button to begin the process.
  • Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.
  • The program should not take long to finish it's job
  • Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,
  • if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean

If this gives you problems running it,run it in safemode

To Enter Safemode
  • Go to Start> Shut off your Computer> Restart
  • As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly,
this will bring up a menu.
  • Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to Safemode with Networking
  • Then press the Enter Key on your Keyboard
Tutorial if you need it How to boot into Safemode

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
    [external image: Posted Image]
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected .
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.
  • Note: If you receive a notice that some of the items couldn't be removed, that they have been added to the delete on reboot list, please reboot.
Post the report and also a new HJT log please
Thanks ken545, No luck in being able to set up MalAware, though TFC did run in safe mode only. Any other suggestions to clean it up? hecrodfnp
Hi,

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows including this one, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

Please download OTM by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please click OTM and then click >> run.
  • Copy the lines inside the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

:Processes
explorer.exe

:Services

:Files
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscsvc32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\fvowketqsoq.dll
C:\Program Files\Protection System

[purity]
[emptytemp]
[start explorer]
[Reboot]
  • Return to OTM, right click in the "Paste Instructions for items to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTM
Note: If an item cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.

Now try and run Combofix, if it wont run, run it from Safemode, if still issues than rename to Combo-fix.exe

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
  • See this Link for programs that need to be disabled and instruction on how to disable them.
  • Remember to re-enable them when we're done.

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

[external image: Posted Image]

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

[external image: Posted Image]

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply along with a New Hijackthis log.

*If there is no internet connection when Combofix has completely finished then restart your computer to restore back the connections.

Post the OTM it log, the Combofix log and a new HJT log please
Thanks, ken 545 I deleted the HJT fields you instructed on. A "delself" icon appeared on the icon soon after. I can't seem to get OTM to run and show what you've said, with the internet not even responding now. The computer keeps shutting down unless I boot it on Safe Mode and even then, when I double-click on icons nothing happens. dayam it! Why in the hell do people create this injustice! Let me know where to go from here. hecrodfnp
Hi,

Have you tried to run Combofix either normally or in safemode, or with it renamed? If not try it now.

Rooter Rootkit Detector
Please Download from here to your Desktop:
  • Doubleclick it to start the tool.
  • A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive% (usually C:)\Rooter.txt.

What I would try is to download Combofix and Rooter from a known clean computer , rename combofix.exe to combo-fix.exe and then burn them to a CD, not a thumb drive as its possible to infect the drive. Then transfer them both to the infected one and run them both You may want to try the same thing with Malwarebytes renamed to Mal-warebytes.exe
Hi ken545,

I was able to download the combofix, malware, and rooter in safe mode. See logs below. Without using CDs I just saved with the slash and hit 'run' straight after the download without going to desktop because each time I would run from there it would not run.

Please review.

Open Notepad Go to Start> All Programs> Assessories> Notepad ( this will only work with Notepad )and copy all the text inside the Codebox by highlighting it all and pressing CTRL C on your keyboard, then paste it into Notepad, make sure there is no space before and above File::

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\JmlVvyay.ini
C:\WINDOWS\system32\JmlVvyay.ini2

Save this as CFScript to your desktop.

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log.

Hi,

The logs look fine, just one questionable file, its a system file but why its running out of a temp directory is puzzling .

You need to enable windows to Show all Files and Folders
Instructions for your Operating System HERE

Go to VirusTotal and submit this file for analysis, just use the browse feature and then Send File, you will get a report back, post the report into this thread for me to see.

C:\Documents and setting\Robert\Local setting\temp\cdiskdun.sys <–This file
Thanks ken545, Got the hidden files showing, but I can't seem to find the file you wanted for analysis. Any suggestions? hecrodfnp
C:\Documents and setting\Robert\Local setting\temp <–Delete everything inside this folder but not the folder itself.

How are things running now?
Hi ken545! Everything is running very well. Deleted the inside of the folder. Anything else that we need to address? Does combofix need to be removed? Thanks so much. Hecrodfnp
