[Resolved] Someone hacked into my pc

Hello everyone,

I really need help with this one. Today as I was just cleaning my computer and browsing my programs. I found a new downloaded program called "WinPcap". I did not downloas this program and if you read on their site, if used illegaly it is a very effective hack tool to establish other connections with other computers. After that, I tried to remove a few programs but it said I do not have sufficient privilleges and I was logged into my admin account. I really need help with this one!

My name is Tomk. I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. HijackThis logs can take a while to research, so please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:

  • I will be working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for the issues on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.

Download TFC to your desktop
  • Close any open windows.
  • Double click the TFC icon to run the program
  • TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,
  • Click the Start button to begin the process.
  • Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.
  • The program should not take long to finish it's job
  • Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,
  • if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean

Then

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.
  • Note: If you receive a notice that some of the items couldn't be removed, that they have been added to the delete on reboot list, please reboot (shut down your computer then restart it).
Also "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Hey, and thank you for replying.

I did everything you told me to and TFC cleared 282 mb of unwanted files. My computer is really getting messed up now, nothing is really working. My internet explorer is hardly restoring, my search function and not working, some other programs are not wokring, and my sstem restore is not working either. And suddenly I think I have two accounts on my pc when I think I only had one. I also have a really bad torjan which is causing my mouse to go crazy!

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools.   • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.


Notes:

1. Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
2. Do not "re-run" Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
3. ComboFix may reset a number of Internet Explorer's settings, including making I-E the default browser.
4. Combofix prevents autorun of ALL CD, floppy and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you – please tell your helper.
5. CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

It looks like you have two anti-virus programs running - Kaspersky and Rogers. That isn't good. Please uninstall one of them. I'm assuming you will uninstall the Kaspersky because it is out of date.

Hi thanks for replying,

Before we continue on my real problem, a few days ago I downloaded Kaspersky to try to run a scan and maybe remove some malware. Unfortunately, after installation there was a system failure and conflict with Kaspersky and I got the BSOD. I was forced to go into safe mode. After tha I tried un-installing it in safe mod but windows couldn't contact the windows installer unless in normal boot mode. So then my only option was delete the Kaspersky files without full un-installation. So my question here is how can I quickly remove all Kaspersky files and/or components.

Frostwire
You have Frostwire, a P2P/file sharing programs installed on your computer. P2P applications like it are the largest source of malware we see. You'll be doing yourself a favor by removing it.

I would recommend that you uninstall Frostwire, however that choice is up to you. If you choose to remove these programs, you can do so via Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.

If you wish to keep it, please do not use it until your computer is cleaned.

Download Rooter.exe to your desktop

  • Then doubleclick it to start the tool
  • A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive%\Rooter.txt. Post that here

ESET Online Scanner:

ComboFix did complete running. But after I tried to open the internet it was no longer working. Sorry for over-reacting but I just got mad because more problems keep coming. But fortunately a little research on my iPod and some faith and it was fixed. I also noticed that I have Kaspersky, Norton, and Rogers on my computer. I wanna remove all Kaspersky and Norton components so I jsut have Rogers Protection on my pc, thanks.
