Hello to anyone who is willing to help me, First of all I would like to say thank you for your help you've had helped me in the past, now i need help again. Yesterday I ran a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it found 2 Trojan downloader which I had removed successfully. However before I did the scan I didn't experienced any problem as slow downs, pop up nor restrictions on search result, so even if there was something (I didn't noticed it). Now after when I did the scan I searched up on the Trojan downloader and noticed that it hiddenly download and run other files from remote web and ftp sites and download different Trojans and backdoors and activate them on an affected system without user's approval. This had what made me concern, so I have come to you in case there was something that was missed.

The downloader was in the D drive which is my system recovery as Malwarebytes detected and all other scans came up clean. Thank you and I lok forward to working with you.

Hello Angel of the Moon,

Please post that log from Malwarebytes if you still have it. :)

The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Next
  • Please download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here.
  • It is important that it is saved to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<info.txt (<
Note: Unless otherwise instructed always post the logs in the forum. If reports don't fit on one post. It might be necessary to break the logs up to get them on the forum. Just use as many posts as you need, that's fine.
Thanks for the help emeraldnzl, sadly though I do not have the log from Malwarebytes, sorry but here is the other information you requested.

Nothing leaping out at me there.

Lets have a look with this.

You have used Combofix before. Please ensure your version of ComboFix has been deleted, including the folders C:\Qoobox and C:\Combofix, and download a new version of Combofix.

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

NOTE: If you are guest watching this topic. ComboFix is a very powerful tool. The disclaimer clearly states that you should not use it without supervision. There is good reason for this as ComboFix can, and sometimes does, run into conflict on a computer and render it unusable.

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it will produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.
Here is the Combofix log

Hello Angel of the Moon,

Firstly I see you have both Avira and Threatfire running on your machine.

Running two or more real-time anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall monitors at the same time can cause a conflict. That conflict can result in slow computer performance, error messages, crashes of the programs or other types of failure. You will very likely end up with little or no protection.

Please remove either Avira or Threatfire. If I were in your shoes I would keep Avira.

Now

You have some old versions of Java showing in your logs.

Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder
  • Run JavaRa.exe, pick the language of your choice and click Select. Then click Remove Older Versions.

Next

That Combofix script didn't work. Lets try it again.

Please ensure your security programs are turned off before you proceed.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

[external image: Posted Image]

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it will produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt Please post that here for further review.
OK emeraldnzl I did everything and I had remove Threatfire from my system and removed leftover Java. However I had trouble with the Combofix log but got it in the end.

1st attempt: my Print master didn't want to close 9for installation) so I had to remove it

2nd: Combofix need updating

3rd time time the combofix log got cut off

and finally the 4th time it cam through, though I hoped it worked out this ime.

Thank you again and I didn't cause to much damage from the Combofix.
Hmm…some progress.

Lets do this:

You have used Malwarebytes before. If you still have it on your machine please update and run. Post the scan report back here.

If you no-longer have Malwarebytes please download from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Yes, I wasn't entirely happy with that Combofix script. Only partially fulfilled what I wanted it to do.

My feeling is that Spybot or SAS may be getting in the way. Might not matter though. That MBAM scan looked excellant.

Let's run an online scan to confirm:

Kaspersky on line scanner is very thorough. It can take a long time and for periods may seem not to be working. Just be patient and let it do its job.

Kaspersky works with Internet Explorer and Firefox 3.

Go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

Note: you will need to turn off your security programs to allow Kaspersky to do its job.

  • Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  • It will start dowanloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  • When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  • Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
      Mail databases
  • Click on My Computer under Scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  • You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As….
  • Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
Copy and paste that information in your next post and tell me how your machine is performing now.
Hey emeraldnzl, My computer is running well, There is no pop up that occurred, nor crashes during the time you help me through this. As I said in my fist post there hasn't been any symptoms on my computer and that is still the case. However I did notice a change in my start up time becoming faster than usual, other then that everything is good. Here is the Kaspersky Scan Result ——————————————————————————– KASPERSKY ONLINE SCANNER 7.0 REPORT Tuesday, June 9, 2009 Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600) Kaspersky Online Scanner version: 7.0.26.13 Program database last update: Tuesday, June 09, 2009 22:07:11 Records in database: 2332462 ——————————————————————————– Scan settings: Scan using the following database: extended Scan archives: yes Scan mail databases: yes Scan area - My Computer: C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ G:\ H:\ I:\ J:\ Scan statistics: Files scanned: 63300 Threat name: 0 Infected objects: 0 Suspicious objects: 0 Duration of the scan: 01:01:29 No malware has been detected. Hello again Angel of the Moon,

I think your machine is clean.

We have a couple of last steps to perform and then you're all set.[image unavailable: Posted Image]

Follow these steps to uninstall Combofix and some tools used in the removal of malware. This will also clean out and reset your Restore Points
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

    [external image: Posted Image]
After that please go here to download OTC.

Run this program to remove the remaining tools we have been using.

You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process choose Yes.

MBAM can be uninstalled via control panel add/remove but it may be a useful tool to keep. The JavaRa folder can be deleted. If for some reason HijackThis is not removed in the Cleanup process it can be uninstalled via the Add or Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel.

——————————————————————————————————————-

A reminder now: Remember to turn back on any anti-malware programs you may have turned off during the cleaning process.

——————————————————————————————————————-

Now that you are clean here are some things I think are worth having a look at:

———————————————————————————————————————

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then. This helps with security and your computer will run more efficiently. I clean mine once a week. For ease of use, you might consider the following free program: ——————————————————————————————————————–

A great way to check that your Microsoft and Java have the latest updates is to go to Software Inspector at Secunia.

I do this weekly. Not only do they tell you which programs need updating but they give you the link to follow.

To bolster your security go to Secunia.com to ensure essential programs are up to date.

———————————————————————————————————————

Make Internet Explorer more secure
  • Click Start > Run
  • Type Inetcpl.cpl & click OK
  • Click on the Security tab
  • Click Reset all zones to default level
  • Make sure the Internet Zone is selected & Click Custom level
  • In the ActiveX section, set the first two options ("Download signed and unsigned ActiveX controls) to "Prompt", and ("Initialize and Script ActiveX controls not marked as safe") to "Disable".
  • Next Click OK, then Apply button and then OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
* MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well known ad sites and other bad sites. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer, meaning it will be difficult to infect yourself in the future.

* Consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is excellant; it is more secure than Internet Explorer. Firefox is my default browser but I retain Internet Explorer as well so that I can access the very few sites that require it.

Firefox may be downloaded from Here

———————————————————————————————————————–

Startuplite is a tool to help you stop some programs not needed when you start your computer from loading. They will begin automatically only when needed.

———————————————————————————————————————–

To help protect your computer in the future here are some free programs you can look at if you don't already have them:

  • If your Microsoft Update is not working automatically. Keep your operating system up to date by visiting
  • Microsoft Windows Update

monthly. And to keep your system clean run these free malware scanners
  • AdAware SE Personal
  • Spybot Search & Destroy

weekly, and be aware of what emails you open and websites you visit.

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klein: So how did I get infected in the first place?

Have a safe and happy computing day!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everything is in order and I've done what you've said. My computer is as good as new. emeraldnzl once again thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day/night wherever you are. :wavey:
