ESET NOD32 AV found threat object (http://91-207-61-180/mpeg/41/v300/file.exe) and quarantined the file. I could not remove the file from the Q-List until I shutdown the Internet connection. NOD32 still shows the object as being present.
At the same time there is an unknown AV app that has been automatically downloaded but not activated that is running and indicates that a Trojan.Mdropper.AC exists on the laptop. The unknown AV app does not show up on the control panel for me to uninstall. This unknown app is in the programs list and has a uninstall selection button that does nothing.
Since i have disconnected from the Internet, the NOD32 logs are clear eventhough the pop up warning from NOD32 still shows the msg about the object file discribed above (http://91-207-61-180/mpeg/41/v300/file.exe)
What information can you guys provide to help me remove the problem?
