[Resolved] how do I remove MYWEBSEARCH ?

I recently installed trojan hunter and it listed the adware , Found adware file: C:\Program Files (x86)\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\F3WPHOOK.DLL (Adware.MyWebSearch.108) But it wont let me delete it with out buying a subsciption… Is there ANY other way of getting this anoying thing off my computer… thank you for any help !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Download the latest version of Trendmicro's Hijackthis to your desktop.

Double click the downloaded program icon to install it [external image: Posted Image]
Follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe

Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
Go to Edit> Select All…..Edit > Copy and Paste the log into this thread by using the Add Reply button.

DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

NEXT

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
    • If you use Firefox browser
    • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time.


NEXT


Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <– very important
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

1. Hijack this

Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad

2. MalwareBytes

Open Malwareytes AntiMalware

Look for the "Logs" tab along the top row.
Go to the most recent log (if you've run the program more than once)

Double click it.
The log will open in notepad

Copy/paste that log into your reply.

please do the following:


Open HJT
  • Click onScan and Save a Log File,once the scan is complete it will open in Notepad
  • Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
  • Go to Edit> Select All…..Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread by using the Add Reply button.
