- Right click the Start Bar and click Properties
- Click the Start Menu Tab

- Click the circle under My Music called Don't Display Item
- Click OK and your done
- Click the button Cancel
- Click Start to open your Start Menu and click Run
*If you don't have Run, go to Programs > Accessories and click Command Prompt - Type in gpedit.msc and press enter
*If you were using Command Prompt then do the same thing, you can exit it once the Group Policy window pops-up - The Group Policy window should pop-up, look at the left side and click the + by User Configuration so that it expands (if it is already expanded don't click anything)
- Then expand Administrative Templates and then Start Menu and Taskbar
- In the list on the right find the item "Remove My Music from Start Menu", right click it and choose Properties

- This change will take effect once you restart your computer

Try the fix given by Ramesh (Reputable MVP)
I quote:
Click Start, Run and type:
rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit
Press {ENTER}
This creates a new My Pictures folder with the special icon.
Be aware, as mentioned later in that thread, that rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit
are case-sensitive. (Copy / Paste will do here)
Regards

I think my error may be not understanding what it means when it says 'In owner your name', change your name to the name of your account.
It meant the User Name of the account you are logged into on your computer.

Regarding the default Windows missing My Pictures folder; I tried the notepad and it imported a notepad with a yellow gear. When I opened it, there was the copy and paste info but no new folder.
Abydos,I did run rundll32 etc and I DO have the new My Pictures folder I was looking for - thanx.
Thank you all for your help!
P.S. Ztrucker, I know if you were at my keyboard it woud have worked - thanx.
