Hi Jayp,

We are sorry your post has been overlooked, our apologies.

Is it the keypad of your Laptop that is typing gibberish or a USB connected keyboard? If it is the latter, then try another keyboard to test please.

Other than more information for us to research for you, you can go here and post a HJT log to the correct forum.

Please let us know,

kind regards,
Hi :wavey: Have you tried find the keyboard driver for your particular laptop at the manufacturers webpage? It might be a case of a corrupted driver. If you have installed something just prior to this behaviour, you might want to check if a uninstall will remedy the situation. A system restore in those cases where a recently new program is causing the behaviour should also work. What alterations have been made prior to the behaviour, if any? Has it recieved any hard bumps or drops recently? Lastly, the make and model could also help, if it is a known problem for the type. Regards
