I was just introducing your site DAL to Paws earlier this afternoon.
We happened upon a Thread where you and Digerati were helping a member with issues related to ISP's filtering and throttling email volume without notifying subscribers. It's a spam-guard as you mentioned, but highly inconvenient for legitimate users on the rare occasions they would need to get a message out to a large group of friends, classmates, invited guests, etc.
I don't spend much time at d-a-l Forums, but often find quality links indexed from DAL when I am google searching a problem.
Welcome!
Do you know where a person could get the best quality low-profile dial-up 56K modem for a slim-line Dell case?
I'm looking/helping in this Thread: http://forums.whatthetech.com/index.php?s=…st&p=539316
Jump right in the Thread if you'd like.
Naw, we won't "grab" him.
We'll just make sure that we have a generous supply of his favorite beverage and snacks available.
Just like we do for you.
What? You didn't mention that to him?
I'm already glad that he's here.
Thanks to all for the Welcome and the honor of a "Visiting Tech".
I do my best to share experience as well as learn from the exchange of these forums.
This volunteer network of tech help forums is a very positive light in an often dark and selfish world.
Glad to see you around…any friend of Digerati is welcome here……..
Oh, did I mention jephree lives in Florida, and have we got a deal on some prime real estate for you. It is very grassy, lots of nice water, and only slightly full of alligators.
Doug - Reminds people to always keep one hand on your wallet when greeting Nebraska-gators.
And avoid introducing your daughters to Airforce OPSEC folks who spend long tours isolated on distant islands.
@HFCG: LOL I have been in Key West for the last 15 years. Grew up in Miami. My grandparents used to live in Venice but I haven't been to that SW area since the '60's. I imagine it has changed.
