hi all,
im new here,i hope im opening this thread in correct forum..
i've been having this problem with my pc,everytime i try to access drive D:,it gives me a runtime error.

runtime error c:\windows\explorer.exe.i ran HJT as well but did not delete anything till someone tell me whats going on or what to do…im going to post the log file as well…thank you in advance ….plzzzz plzzz help me…

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix, Vundofix, or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.


The issues with your computer that you list, doesn't appear to be related to Malware/Spyware/Virus

Try these:

1) You can use windows sfc (system file checker) You'd need your XP CD to make this work.
Click Start> Run> type sfc /scannow Note the space.
(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)

2) Run MSCONFIG ( Start > Run > msconfig ) and uncheck everything under the Startup tab. Reboot the PC and see if you the error still occurs. If not, go back into MSCONFIG and check items one-by-one and reboot until you have found the culprit.
