Hello there, my name is Jason, and my friend recommended this site for some assistance. It would be much appreciated if I could receive some advice or education as to my issues.

I am constantly getting messages that state programs have stopped working, when I know everything is running properly, at least from what I can see. Then I get constant pop up windows when I browse with advertisements for registry cleaning programs and other random products like cars and spyware protection.

This is my latest HijackThis log, my friend also told me about this program, and this is the result of the scan and log I received.

I'm running Windows Vista x64, SP1, with the latest version of McAfee Security Center I purchased when I got my new computer.

I am checking over your HJT log now, I will post back shortly with instructions.

  • Return to OTMoveIt3, right click in the "Paste Instructions for items to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.

  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

In your next reply I need

  • OTMoveIt log
  • MBAM log
  • Fresh HJT Log

Also please advise how your computer is running now.
Thank you for your fast response and help!! I did everything you asked on the last post, and the only thing I couldn't get finished was the OTMoveit to complete it's work. When I clicked move it, the program continually timed out and I was unable to retrieve any of the information from the results screen of the program.

However, after running HJThis in admin, I was able to get a new reading for you to take a look at. The Malwarebytes program was a success as well, as I completed everything and took note of the file saved, I rebooted my computer and didn't receive any messages about programs that "had been stopped", and not one pop up window advertising when I browsed for 5 minutes on the internet.

Here are the read outs from HJThis and Malwarebytes programs. Again, thank you so much for your assistance, and I hope everything looks good from the following text.

In your next reply I need

  • OTScanIt log

Also please advise how your computer is running now.
I received a message at startup this time "Error Loading C:\ProgramData\siwelehu\siwelehu.dll The Specific module could not be found." Plus I still receive odd pop ups from advertisements while browsing though. I've tried to attach the log file from the OTScanit I ran with your specifications checked, with no programs open when I performed the scan, but the file size is 2.5 MB and too large for me to attach to my reply. How would you like me to get you that file? Thank you, Sunidaze

The fix should only take a very short time.
When the fix is completed a message box will popup either telling you that it is finished, or that a reboot is needed to complete the fix.
If the fix is complete, click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix.
Post that log back here in your next reply.

If a reboot is required, click the "Yes" button to reboot the machine.
After the reboot, OTScanIt2 will finish moving any files that could not be moved during the fix and NotePad will open with the final results at that time.
Post that log back here in your next reply.

You will need to use I.E. for this scan

Go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.
  • Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  • It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  • When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  • Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
      Mail databases
  • Click on My Computer under Scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  • You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As….
  • Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button. Then post it here.

In your next reply I need
  • OTScanIt log
  • Kaspersky report
  • Fresh HJT log (do this last)

Again, if the files are to large to paste into the thread, then upload to mediafire and post the sharing link.

Also, please advise how your computer is running now.
The Original OTScanIt commands are not going through properly. When I run OTScanIt I receive a message: "Invalid time flag! [jinstall-1_6_0_03-windows-i586.cab[Java Plug-in 1.6.0_03]] Must be numerical." If there is something wrong with the code, please let me know and repost, and I'll try it again. Thank you.
Hello Sunidaze,

Yes, some of the tools we use do complain when being used on 64bit systems.

I've taken the reference to java out - we can fix that manually afterwards…so try the fix now……then continue on with the previous instructions…

thank-you

The fix should only take a very short time.
When the fix is completed a message box will popup either telling you that it is finished, or that a reboot is needed to complete the fix.
If the fix is complete, click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix.
Post that log back here in your next reply.

If a reboot is required, click the "Yes" button to reboot the machine.
After the reboot, OTScanIt2 will finish moving any files that could not be moved during the fix and NotePad will open with the final results at that time.
Post that log back here in your next reply.
I still receive the *.DLL is not working message everytime I restart my computer, but was able to complete the original "fixit" scan code you sent, as it was user error, not the code or the computer. I apologize for that. Then I was able to get a HJThis in admin completed, but still cannot get onto, nor download the Kaspersky software. There are a few sites I've noticed I've lost all speed in downloading, let alone doing any work on them at all. Kaspersky's site is one of them apparently.
Here's the code I was able to get that you requested.

OTScanIt first, then HJThis reports. Please let me know what you'd like me to do about Kaspersky's site, and please know that I have a full version of McAfee that I received with the computer when I bought it just over a month ago.

Hi Sunidaze,

Please refer to the PM I have sent you first

We still have a bit of work to do unfortunately, the remaining malware is likely preventing your ability to access Kaspersky, so we will leave that for now and try another direction.
Cleaning malware from a 64 bit OS can be a little tricky so please bear with us…you are doing great following the instructions by the way, so don't worry about the minor user error…not a problem, we will work through it :)

Please do this:

  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on Do a system scan only
  • Check the boxes next to ONLY the entries listed below (if still present):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {df5a18dc-1b1e-4a11-946b-57c5ab73ebee} - C:\ProgramData\juborafe\juborafe.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [medupiwame] Rundll32.exe "C:\ProgramData\siwelehu\siwelehu.dll",s
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CPMf7e569e0] Rundll32.exe "c:\windows\system32\harizepu.dll",a
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: \windows\system32\hugugefe.dlll??d?a???c2??? ??????b????? c:\windows\system32\nurofoyi.dll c:\windows\system32\nasijuye.dll c:\windows\system32\harizepu.dll
O21 - SSODL: SSODL - {EC43E3FD-5C60-46a6-97D7-E0B85DBDD6C4} - c:\windows\SysWow64\harizepu.dll
O22 - SharedTaskScheduler: STS - {EC43E3FD-5C60-46a6-97D7-E0B85DBDD6C4} - c:\windows\SysWow64\harizepu.dll

  • Close all windows except Hijackthis and click Fix Checked
  • Click Yes when prompted
  • Close HijackThis.

NEXT

Note: As you are a Vista user, you will need to rightclick the program's executable and 'Run as Administrator'

Please click here to download AVP Tool by Kaspersky.
  • Click on the *AVP* folder then double click the setup file to run it.
  • Click Next to continue.
  • It will then open a box. There will be a tab that says Automatic scan.
  • Under Automatic scan make sure these are checked.

  • System Memory
  • Startup Objects
  • Disk Boot Sectors.
  • My Computer.
  • Also any other drives (Removable that you may have)

After that click on Security level then choose Customize then click on the tab that says Heuristic Analyzer then choose Enable Deep rootkit search then choose ok.
Then choose OK again then you are back to the main screen.

  • Then click on Scan at the right hand Corner.
  • It will automatically Neutralize any objects found.
  • If some objects are left un-neutralized then click the button that says Neutralize all
  • If it says it cannot be Neutralized then choose The delete option when prompted.
  • After that is done click on the reports button at the bottom and save it to file name it Kas.
  • Save it somewhere convenient like your desktop and just post only the detected Virus\malware in the report it will be at the very top under Detected post those results in your next reply.

Note: This tool will self uninstall when you close it so please save the log before closing it.

Well Catbyte, I don't know what you did, but I hope these are the results we were looking for. I ran those scans like you asked, and I will post the HJThis log, but under the "DETECTED" section, it was blank. Not one thing was found when that scan was run, and I can only hope that the last removal we did caught everything.

To add, I haven't had a pop up or any other issues with my computer. I've even noticed an improvement in connection speeds. I don't know if that is possible, or even connected to the work we've done, but I'm quite happy with the results thus far. Let me know if there's anything else I need to do please.

Thank you,

SD

Hi Sunidaze,

Are you now able to access AV sites or are they still inaccessible?

Please do the following

Click Start >Run type notepad into the run box click OK
Click Format and make certain that Word Wrap is NOT checked.

Copy all the text inside of the code box, (Starting with REGEDIT4) put your mouse cursor at the very beginning of the text and then hold down the left button and drag your mouse so that all of the text is highlighted. Press Ctrl+C (or right click on the highlighted section and choose 'copy')
Ensure that there is NO blank line above REGEDIT4 and one blank line at the bottom.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"=""

Now paste the copied text into the open notepad. To do this click in the blank page so that your cursor is flashing there and press CTRL+V (or right click and choose 'paste')
Now go to File > and click Save As,

From the drop down menu at the top of the box choose Desktop as the location to save this file.

Go down to the File Name box and type in fixme.reg as the file name, then choose All Files as the save as file type.
Then click the save button. Once you have clicked the save button, close Notepad.

You will now have an icon on your desktop that looks like this: [external image: Posted Image]

Double-click on the fixme.reg icon and when it and when it prompts to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.

[2]Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the "Healing/Quarantine and Advanced System Investigation"check box.
[3]Click on the “Execute selected scripts”.
[4]Automatic scanning, healing and system check will be executed.
[5]A logfile (avz_sysinfo.htm) will be created and saved in the LOG folder in the AVZ directory as virusinfo_syscure.zip.
[6]It is necessary to reboot your machine, because AVZ might disturb some program operations (like antiviruses and firewall) during the system scan.
[7]All applications will work properly after the system restart.

When restarted
[1]Start AVZ.
[2]Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the “Advanced System Investigation" check box.
