Quick question - The .package files that I used to modify my Sims, those are safe, correct? They're either plain .package files or .zip files. *checks* Or I should say, they're .package files IN .zip files. Also, have some .iso files from Sims2 I'd like to save. Please tell me they're as safe to save to my USB flash drive as my text documents and videos. :3 Oh and as far as formatting my drive - are the driver files under the "Dell" folder safe to save to my USB? They appear as .dll files and such, not any of the files that you mentioned that are unsafe. (That I can see, anyway.) I formatted my computer once before and saving the driver files made things on the fresh drive much simpler. Is it alright for me to do that? (P.S. - Totally OFF topic… I noticed your icon. Are you going to see Chimaira at the Music As a Weapon Tour?)
Hi,

Your Sims' package files should be safe. However, bear in mind that the cracked Sims may have had something to do with this in the first place. I would give stuff related to anything cracked a good scan before backing it up and before loading it back onto your new system.

Your driver files should be OK. Ideally though, you would be safer to re-install your drivers from any recovery/driver CDs that came with your computer from Dell. If you haven't got anything like that then go ahead and use the existing ones - but again be safe and give them a good scanning to make sure.

As far as I'm aware Music As A Weapon is US only at the moment - I'm a Brit :(

Cheers.
Alright, sorry this is a few days late. Computer is newly formatted! In retrospect, though that virus was nasty, I'm glad to have a fresh start. My computer had a LOT of nonsense on it. I wanted to write this post sooner, but I had another issue with my laptop (that I managed to somehow fix by some miracle.) I saved my important docs to my USB flash drive, used Kaspersky to scan my flash drive before taking anything off of it, and everything's good as new. Thank you so much for your help. (And sorry you can't make it to the M.A.A.W. tour. But don't sound so sad about being a Brit! Lol. :P ) I'll be sure to donate a least a couple bucks to you through the link in your signature sometime soon. Thanks again, mate!
 I hope your system stays clean this time. Fresh starts are always good, nice to know you have a nice clean system. I will close this topic now, hope we don't have to see you in this part of the forum again ;)
