i'm back….
scaredy cat me stayed off line for a bit…. when i came back i had to get rid of the AVG because for some reason, that wasn't working properly and I downloaded AVAST instead….

oh…also, after all the trojans i had, i no longer have the capability to be sent to another website…. like when I got my hijack this log, it had that other log with all the numbers before items 06, 023 etc….. and at the bottom of that list where you can check off those items I guess that seem to have problems….. there was a button that said analyze this…and it will send it to TrendMicro support….when I click on things like that now…. nothing happens… the box appears, and it says at the top of the box, windows explorer, but the box is blank and stays blank, i can't go anywhere. does this make sense to you??? you know what i mean?????

There is a button. Ignore it. Don't push it. Ever. I promise to never ask you to do that. You've got me. You don't need no stinking button. :yeah:

  • Please open HijackThis and run Do a system scan only
  • Check the boxes next to ONLY the entries listed below(if present):
    • R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
  • Close all programs except for HijackThis.
  • Click on Fix checked
  • A box will pop up asking you if you wish to fix the selected items. Please choose YES.
  • Once it has fixed them, please exit/close HijackThis.

Please let me know if this solves your "blank" problem. (Do not test it by clicking on the Analyze This button!)

What other problems are you having? Have you ran an AVAST scan? Did it show anything?

THOMAS, YOU FOUND ME OUT!!! Of course I wanna hang with you for awhile!!!!! Yeah….. I ran a scan first thing after downloading, just to make sure….everything came up clean…..I shall go and do what you say now….I'll have you know I have never been this obedient with any other man my entire life LOL!!!! Who me need a stupid button? Nah….much more fun to harass the heck out of you, give you grey hairs, make you roll your eyes and thank your lucky stars you don't live anywhere near me, i put that gratitude factor in your life, now you realize you don't have so bad really at all now, do you???? ooops….i didn't close this program before I clicked on fix this and yes…….. but it seems ok, that line is gone now….. Well, I've been on line for three days now and no trojans….just the freezing problem…..but that's ok, I'm old and slowing up…I have noticed that if I wait long enough sometimes it will start moving again. I swear I am going to get brave and try out this new digital camera of mine…. compudodo, Still got some hair but it's already grey. Met you a few years to late I guess. :lol: I'm not done torturing you yet! Is your browser working better since we fixed that line? Does the "freezing" happen everytime you load a new page, or just certain ones? If it is just some pages, is it pages that have lots of pictures (you know, like scantily clad roman soldiers or something. :rofl: )? How do you connect to the internet? Dial-up? Cable?

Thomas, hi…..yeah…i had a sort of accident…. set my house on fire….. i'm ok, only burned my hand, blew up my kitchen though LOL….. was pretty exciting if you think about it….like a jerk i stayed and fought it and put it out…. i'm lucky to be alive….was allowed back into the house today (it happened Sunday)….. they don't let you stay in the house until all the carbon monoxide readings return to normal…now the clean up begins…. so i'm sorry sweetie, i'm kinda swamped now with adjusters and cleaning companies and it's overwhelming…my own fault…i'm so bad now, don't remember things…i put an aerosol can too close to the stove…stupid. but hey, live and learn…at least i survived this. love you sweetie, i haven't been ignoring you (((((((((((((((((huggers))))))))))))))) candice

Hey you….i'm banished to my computer room, the painters have been here all weekend. what a production…remind me never to blow up my kitchen again please!!!!! sorry i haven't been around, been so much to do with the reconstruction, all these people you have to coordinate schedules with, meet with, choose colors, choose styles, the cleaners, the fabric specialists, the carpenters, the installers, plus I go to work every day and even there I'm falling behind, not doing all the boss thinks I should….got kinda sick with smoke inhalation too, caused alot of lung problems for me…. pluse i got injured at work, i knew that would happen with me so old and all the lifting, actually couldn't move this pile of product and it fell down on my hand….. my entire left side of my face is black and blue and I have a lump the size of a softball on my forehead……. no overt brain damage, besides the usual stuff I have been living with for the last 15 years or so….. :) so I'm hanging in there…. isn't my life fun fun fun????????? I hope my face looks normal for saint patty's day, I have big plans for st. patty's day, gonna sing and dance all night… remind me, what the heck am I supposed to be doing now with this machine? I LOVE this avast on line scanner, it automatically scans, haven't had any trouble since i installed it, machine isn't even freezing up now. best protection software i have ever had. how are you? whatcha gonna harass me to do now?????
