hi everyone. i have a little situation on my hand. ok lets start off with what i have done to my laptop. i have a dell inspiron 5160. the dc power jack was broken so i opened it up and put in a oem dc power jack which is working fine. my only concerned now is that my wireless internal minipci card is not working. i have another dell d510 notebook so i switch the pci card and still it wont connect to the internet so i ruled off the possibily of a bad internet pci card. the wireless connection finds routers but wont connect. it is not receiving a valid ip address. i used a static ip address and it works fine for the intranet but not for the internet. it just keeps telling me limited or no connactiving. releasing and renewing the ip is not working either. i took off the card and put it back in and still it will find my issd but it will connect with limited or no connectivity. my other laptop connects just fine. even with the internal card that this laptop has. before i switch the dc jack it was working fine. after i installed the dc jack is when the problem occured of not connecting to the internet. i took the notebook completely apart and put it back together everythnig seems fine can this my a software issue? the internal card seems to be working as it finds the routers but it will just not connect. any suggestions will be truly helpful.

Thanks in advance.
