Hi guys, I was recently contacted to fix a computer with this issues. Upon start up a fake virus scan runs and detects about 37 trojans and worms. Then the wallpaper changes to a large blue screen with a warning about infected files. I am also directed online to a site that wants me to buy thier software. I tried booting in safemode to clean things up but was hit with a blue screen "bad checkdisk". I then reverted to the "last known config that works". Upon start up this time the virus scan appeared to be gone and the real virus scan did not detect it. But now when using internet explorer all my search results when using google are directed to various ad sites. When using msn search things work correctly though. I am posting the log for the computer. What's out of place and how do I get rid of it?
