hello.

i have a problem with my cd playings. i think it is linked to windows media player 11. i cant unistall it even open it. i have tried to use wp10 it is not working.

theplayer is ok.i see that the cd is in but i still cant read it. when i plugged an external dvd cd burner i see the device but nothing happen, not reading of the cd

please help: i have acer aspire 2920Z. vista edition (i suppose home edition).

aurelie

ps:i read the other previous post on the issue, but it looks that m problem is more linked to wp11 than the player itself.

Hi, and welcome to the WTT forums

Sorry to hear you are having problems with playing or reading CDs
As a first measure try using "System Restore" to put your computer back to a date shortly before the trouble started.
Its a quick and simple procedure to do. Here's further details:

Good luck

hey!
so i tried two restoration but both of them failed
the system goes under the green screen, it starts again and then a little box with a big red cross says that something blocked the full restore, 'please try another point of restore' which i did with the least recent one. (one today and one 30/07)

Hi, Ok,
I understand,
1 Try inserting a cd (not a music one just one with data on it )...is your computer able to read the files and open then from "Computer"
2 Is your machine still under guarantee/Warranty/Service agreement?
3 Have a look here, try the fix and tell us what happens now
