hello everyone

i'm currently using windows XP pro SP1 (i intend to upgrade that to SP2 as soon as i get rid of my virus/malware trouble(s))
i wanted to show some preliminary information that could be useful possibly....

a list of Anti-Virus software i currently have:

- Hijackthis 1.99.1 (cannot recall if i have updated this or not)
* i recently have noticed a "017" entry when the scan completes, though once i fix it and attempt use the internet,
my browsers cannot reach ANY websites.

- Mbam 1.41 (recently cannot seem to gain updates for this)

- Spybot S&D 1.62 (currently this is the only Anti-Virus program i can gain updates for)
* i recently have noticed an entry called "win32.delf.uc" when the scan completes. spybot seems to fix it, but when i would
restart my computer and i remembered the path(s) in the registry in which spybot had found that virus, i go back to that area
of the registry where i could look and notice its right back where spybot had supposedly fixed it.

- RegSeeker 1.55 (have not found any new updates for this as of yet)

- Ccleaner 2.25 (recently downloaded a newer version for this which was 2.25)

- a2HiJackFree 3.1.0.19 (cannot gain updates for this)

i might be in need of some help with a possible browser hijack ? if anyone could possibly lend a hand ?
the one main problem i seem to be having is i cannot reach any sites like:

(anything related to) .microsoft.com, though i am able to reach hotmail.com & msn.com somehow ?
Anti-virus proper named websites, though i am able to reach this website & spybots homesite.

thanks a million in advance.

Sincerely, CamelMenthol thumbup.gif
