Support from Microsoft for Vista is to be extended until April 2017 and for
Win 7 to Jan 2020

I saw the Ed Bott report the other day and was a bit surprised by Microsoft's announcement. I am not sure what to make of it. This is truly great for consumers. But I don't see how it can help Microsoft sell Windows 8.

Yes I agree, I was a bit surprised myself.... I wondered at first if it was a hoax.... but it seems to be correct...
