You should just need to double click combofix for it to run.

so I still cannot run combofix.

I have tried to get my pictures off the darn tower, but I am not sure whether that did indeed work, I have a dvd writer and just tried drag and dropping my pics in there, so far so good, but when I go to properties it shows as the lication still the desktop, so does that mean i jsut have shortcuts on my dvd now, or the actual pictures, took over 20 minutes for about 2000 or so pics.

Second question: would it be of any use if I would do a destructive system reset using my recovery console, or is that of no use for getting rid of whatever i got?

Drag and Drop will not Copy the file, that only creats a shortcut.
Are you able to Copy files back and forth?
