Hi. This is my first post!
Everytime i scroll, drag screens, loads programmes etc etc my CPU goes up 100%. Then my fan starts humming and gets louder and louder. I do not know what the problem is. Soon as i stop doing things it goes back to normal again. My RAM was 256.. and it did this and everything was slow... now i have upgraded it to 1GB and everything is fast, but still makes thes noise. I ran the HijackThis software and here is the Log... Can anyone find problems with it? Is my CPU too low? My system info is: MS XP Home Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 2 Celeron ® CPU 2.93 GHz 1.18GB of RAM *********** Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 16:08:37, on 24/09/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18241) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: D:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe D:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe D:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\ACS\AOLAcsd.exe D:\Program Files\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\slserv.exe D:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE D:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exe D:\Program Files\BT Voyager 105 ADSL Modem\dslstat.exe D:\Program Files\BT Voyager 105 ADSL Modem\dslagent.exe D:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\AOLSPY~1\AOLSP Scheduler.exe D:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\1222098558\ee\AOLSoftware.exe D:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE D:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\jusched.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe D:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\Loader\aolload.exe D:\Program Files\AOL 9.0\aoltray.exe D:\Program Files\PC Connectivity Solution\ServiceLayer.exe D:\Program Files\PC Connectivity Solution\Transports\NclUSBSrv.exe D:\Program Files\PC Connectivity Solution\Transports\NclRSSrv.exe D:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\usnsvc.exe D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe D:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe D:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe D:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLLoginProxy.exe D:\DOCUME~1\GSBEE9~1.SID\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for ProcessExplorer[1].zip\procexp.exe D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE D:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R1 - ![]() Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post. You might want to print these instructions out. I suggest you do this: Double-click My Computer. Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options. Click the View tab. Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types." Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders." Clear "Hide protected operating system files." Click Apply, and then click OK. Please do not delete anything unless instructed to. Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. Download - ATF Cleaner» Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Under Main choose: Select All Click the Empty Selected button. (If you use FireFox or the Opera browser To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.) It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two. Next: Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
Also "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread. Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment. |
