I have a new gateway and I sent it in to have the backlight replaced a couple months ago. I have installed all my old programs on it and all my spyware/malware programs as well. I update them and run them at least every two weeks but my laptop has started locking up all the time and running very very slow if i have more than two programs open. I just wanted to post a hijack this log and see if I'm missing something. Thank you!!

I posted this in August. It is now September and there has been no response from anyone. Will someone please help me?

Looks like you're running 2 anti-virus programs.



Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with each other, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.


1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove either:
Avast4
AVG8
