Hello,

A single user at work is having an issue with his out of office assistant. The OOA will reply to internal users within the domain but will not send out of office replies to external e-mail addresses. i tested this with my own personal e-mail account as well and did not receive a reply. The strange part is that all other users can send automated messages to both internal and external addresses, which i also tested. I verified the auto reply settings in the Exchange server, which is globally set to foward automated replies to external addresses.

I have tried resetting and reapplying the OOA and set up automated reply rules in outlook and have had no luck. Any ideas on what can be causing this issue on a single user?

Outlook 2003
Exchange Server 2003

Hi and welcome back to the WTT forums,
The forums are generally available to provide help for "home users" and are not intended to provide the type of support that is usually provided by an organisation's IT Dept.
On the face of it maybe this topic is more of a business nature?

We do not wish to be unhelpful but could you please have a look here:
http://forums.whatthetech.com/boardrules.html
and check out the bulleted points in the "Terms of Use" particularly the second one down.

If I have misunderstood the position do please post back....... and I will not close this topic ...as one of our members with experience in this area may feel that she/he might wish to respond.
Regards
