I have a 2003 compaq, Windows XP 2002
Unfortunately, it looks like I came down with these two- Generic 7 and 11. I started getting messeger updates alerting me of the virus and trying to get me to buy their AV. As I got these, it actually changed my desktop background to a blue screen with a warning sign in the middle advising me that I have a virus on my PC. I have since shut windows messenger off and ran free AVG, Ad Aware SE, cleanup, Spybot search search and destroy. I also downloaded Avast and ran that. All these caught a few things, but I am not so sure it got the main virus. I am not too good with PC's to say the least. Can I do anything else to make sure this is gone? Thanks a great deal for the help!
