Can you please check this HJT for me?
Mom’s PC CPU runs at 100% for several minutes after start-up. Not sure if it is virus or spyware/malware. Malwarebytes found a pop-up baddie which I deleted. AVG free and Spybot S&D see nothing. Thank you for your time and help.
Sorry for the delay in responding. There is no noticeable effect with the change in Hijackthis and the removal and re-installation of Java. As PC boots it appears that TeaTimerExe. Is the culprit using from 97 to 99%. I removed Spybot. My cursor is all over the screen, I don’t know why it jumps around. Is one program in conflict with another and something I can fix? Which needs to stay and which needs to go? I think I still have several versions of Java on here, in add/remove programs I have Java6 Update 7. I don't see that on the hjt log, should I? I see jre 1.6. Is this normal? Processor seems to settle down much quicker now that spybot is gone, but the jumping cursor is driving me nuts! No programs I can see should be confilcting. You can try and redownload spybot search and destroy and see if a fresh install helps. ______________________________ In add/remove programs the only java you should see is this one. Java update 7 Your log is showing me the latest version is running. Note what is in red. O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin\ssv.dll __________________________ Your mouse. Not the expert on that. I would try the following. Borrow a mouse from another computer if possible and see if that helps. If it is a USB plug possibly try another port . Go into control panel and click on mouse . Use the 3rd tab on the top and slow the speed down a bit. _____________________________ Anything else I might help with ? |

Thanks for your time and your help.
That is in fact the only java in my add/remove programs. I’ll re-load spybot and see what happens. I’ll also try your suggestions with another mouse. I think I’m good to go now. Again thanks for your help. Please close this thread. |
