I've been trying to uninstall Kodak Easy Share from my computer without success (I don't use it for anything, it's unneccessary and problemmatic when it starts up). When I do Add/Remove programs and instruct it to remove the program it automatically starts up the install program instead. Is there a way to force uninstall this?

Thank you.

Sometimes to uninstall you have to go through trough the install setup program. Let it take you through that and whenever it finishes loading the wizard check all the options. Usually there's repair, re-install, and in this case Uninstall would most likely be there.

Also what is your OS? XP, Vista? Try going to the Start Menu > Programs > Kodak Easy Share and look for a shortcut called "Uninstall", or something to that effect. Then try using that.

Thanks for the help - unfortunately I still haven't succeeded. When following the install prompts it ends in an error code [60x11x0x]. The Easy Share website says to solve problems with that error code you have download the newest version of the software, which is the last thing I want to do! And I'm using XP, but I don't see an uninstall shortcut. Any ideas?

SUPEREDIT: Take a look at this WTH topic first, then if that doesn't work come back here and read the rest of my post.

You should probably go with the update, I kow you are done with the program and you don't want to use it anymore, but this is sort of the case were to uninstall something, it has to be fully installed. If you tried to delete any of the Kodak files from your C: drive this could be the case. As of right now you should try getting the update, then go back and try to uninstall it.

Also what shortcuts do you see in the Kodak Easy Share folder (I know uninstall isn't there but just tell me what else).

EDIT: After getting the update there should be a remove option, if not just go through with the install again and see if you ever get the uninstall option there. Also before uninstalling, whichever way you try, make sure you exit out of the program, since it executes at startup. Use Ctrl + Alt + Del and go to the processes tab, look for anything resembling the easyshare program (ex: esyshr.exe) and click it once, then click end process and choose yes at the prompt. Then you can attempt to uninstall the program.

If neither of those work, try the below link, it's a remove program by Kodak, I'm not sure if it will work on this program but it's worth a shot if it's still on there.

You can disable the feature by typing services.msc in run, click ok....then scroll down to the Kodak service, right click on it, choose properties, then in the dropdown box, set it to disabled.

Also, type msconfig in the run box, click ok, choose start up and uncheck the box next to the Kodak entrie.
