My comp is broken i have been screwing around with it for 5 weeks now iw ant to figure out how to PC recovery on my compaq computer i just click R on startup and it goes to it but i cant find that button on my comp its an AMD athlon computer antec brand its custom idk if this helps but it says platinum on startup idk what that is someone please help me find how to PC recover please

What is the full model number, i.e. Compaq Presario nnnnnn.

Do you have the recovery CD/DVD or are you trying to start the recovery process from a hidden partition on the hard drive? Often, pressing Ctrl+F11 as soon as you see the Compaq logo during boot will take you to the recovery screen.
