Download the OTMoveIt.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.

Press cleanup & it will search for and delete/uninstall all the tools you have used that you do not need
and all their backup folders and then delete itself when you next reboot.

Then download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt

is it normal for computers to have slow times where you try to open a page, and the meter with the green lights at the bottom of page doesn't move.......and then will go .......i guess like drag, or how a cell phone drops a call, or has interference?

also when i open a page.....it won't come up on the screen, but will be in the bar at bottom of screen, and when i click on at the bottom of the screen, it comes up?

are these normal issues?

It is possible it may just be not enough memory. How much memory do you have?

Download and run - ATF Cleaner instructions here.

Be sure to keep SunJava, updated the newest version is 6.0 update 7
In Add/Remove programs click on these and press *remove* if listed:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 - 97.99Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2 - 143.00Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 4 - 144.00Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5- 151.00Mb
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_04 - 130.00Mb
Or any other outdated J2SE
It is important to remove older versions as these are the ones with the holes in them.
You will be surprised when you go to add/remove to see all of the versions sitting there.
Download Newest >>>> http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Once installed you can test to see that it is in fact installed >>>>
Sun Java Test

after i ran atf cleaner and rebooted this page below popped up(should I follow it's instructions and update this?) :

Help and Support | Security | Microsoft Update

Technical Information
FIX: Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error

Download updates for Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error

The error "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error" occurs after you start or restart your computer. The error appears in computers with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and security update 873333 (MS05-012) installed.

To check your version of Windows, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type winver, and then click OK
2. A dialog box displays your version of Windows.

We do not expect this experience to harm your data or the performance of your computer.

Solution

Microsoft has released an update that fixes the problem you reported.

Note: After you install this update, the solution will not take effect until after you have restarted your computer. Because of this, you might see one last "Generic Host Process" error message after your computer restarts. You can ignore this final error message.

To access the update, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Update for Windows XP website.
2. Under Validation Recommended, click Continue and follow the directions. Note: Validating your software is not a requirement for downloading this solution. Read more about genuine Microsoft software.
3. After you have installed the update, restart your computer.

i should delete this?> J2SE Runtime Enviornment 5.0 update 11 is listed in my add/remove programs........I don't know alot about computers so i assume J2SE above is outdated java? Does it matter what order i do this download newer version first/delete older version?

if you tell me yes i'll delete it and download the java link you gave me a couple posts above........i just want to make sure.....

i went ahead already and followed the microsoft directions page above and rebooted.......also i wanted to tell you when i rebooted i didn't get an moxilla send error report, like i have in the past.........

but yahoo mail tried to load through microsoft word.......and when it does its an old yahoo.mail edition, then it went ahead and said it couldn't load yahoo.mail after it came up and shut down.......i don't mind microsoft not being able to open yahoomail, i just wish it would stop trying to open yahoomail....don't know if its a bug or what..........

i tried to open Moxilla firefox.....and its done this in the past it opens tiny page in upper left hand corner when i enlarge the page its blank not having moxilla search space, but i believe it says moxilla in header margin/tab, just the page is blank.......i close it and try to open moxilla firefox again and it opens fine........and then yahoo.mail opens up fine using firefox this time, not microsoft.....is this normal to have to open moxila firefox first, so that yahoo.mail uses moxilla friefox to open?.......i'm just wondering if its some kind of virus/malware.........cause it does this alot......

i really appreciate your help.....
