This time the malware, running on Symbian Series 60 phones, attempts to extort money from users. SymbOS/Kiazha.A displays a message telling the user to send RMB 50 (approx. $7) to the malware author in order to regain use of the phone... it appears that the author, with a lot of effort and testing, put together various malware like pieces from a toolkit..."

About half of those who saw advertising on their mobile phones in the past month responded to an ad, the report said... In fact, this figure rose 38 per cent to 58 million users who said they saw advertising on their mobile phone... Big internet companies, such as Microsoft and Google, are already adapting their advertising products to work on mobile devices..."
