I was just curious about that line, "your post WILL be removed whether it is good OR bad advise.", while it is clear as to what it means, I was just wondering if it shouldn't be, "your post WILL be removed whether it is good OR bad advice."?

Just a suggestion.

Hi
LakanDavidDInocencio

It's good to see you around on the forums, and always handy to have an English teacher keeping an eye on things!
There are many different "flavours and interpretations" of the English language used here...and sometimes quite a few other languages as well!
Most of the folks here try to ensure that their meaning is as clear as they can make it, and choose a word or phrase that conveys adequately the information required.
Some people here on the forum have English as a first language whilst others do not....but may speak, pretty fluently, 3 or 4 other languages as well.

As long as the volunteers on this forum, give reliable, suitable and understandable advice, the administrators here, may overlook any "transgressions" either real or apparent, believing that the great diversity in the manner of expression sometimes adds a certain charm and often does not detract seriously from the task of trying to help folks who are in trouble with the workings of their computer.

Regards,
(and thanks for your suggestion)

Hi LakanDavidDInocencio,

Advise - a verb
Advice - a noun

You are certainly right.
Paws is also correct in describing the spirit and diversity of activity here at WTT.

If the specific line which incorrectly includes "advise" has not already been corrected, please post a link.
I'll follow up on it. smile.gif
