Out of the blue my wireless internet was disabled and when I tried to connect to a network, I don't see my network but I can see all the other networks my neighbors have, The internet is fine when I just plug in the cord from the wall to the laptop, but I really want to have my wireless to work. Any help would be appreciated thanks

p.s. I have a compaq presario CQ60-420US
my isp is at&t, my router is a 2wire 3800HGV-B

Since Hamachi sets up a VPN between two computers, I can see where it could easily destroy a network and/or wireless setup.

Now that you've uninstalled it, use System Restore to go back to a day or so before you installed Hamachi.

Click on Start then Programs (or All Programs). Click on Accessories then System Tools and finally System Restore.

What didn't work? System Restore or doing the System Restore did not fix the problem?

Okay, thanks. You need to be more explicit in your responses so we don't waste a lot of time working on this.

This could be a Winsock problem caused by Hamichi install and/or removal. Please download and run LSPFix. Allow it to correct any problems it finds.

Hmmm, is it only wireless that is not working? A regular Ethernet connection is okay, right?

Is Windows managing your wireless connection or some other software? Let Windows manage it and see what happens.

To have Windows XP manage your wireless network connection, do the following.
  • Open Services (Start then Run, type services.msc and press Enter)
  • Double click on Wireless Zero Configuration
  • Set Startup type to Automatic
  • Click the Start button to start the service
  • Click Apply then OK
  • Open Network Connections
  • Right click on Wireless Network Connection, select Properties.
  • Click the Wireless Networks tab and check the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" box.
  • Click OK.

Shutdown and reboot to have this take effect.

Nothing here says wireless zero config, I have WLAN Auto Config, and its listed as started automatic
And im running a vista on my laptop
