I have multiple symptoms, including:

* Web redirects in both IE and Firefox - especially when searching for pages in Google. This is intermittent, but as examples:
- Search for "AVG" and clicking on the first link redirects to http://google-stat.com/
- Search for "Kaspersky" and clicking on the first link redirects to http://www.2009softwarereviews.com/
- Other redirects have been to porn sites and couponmountain.com
* When trying to run "cmd.exe" or "regedit.exe" from Start... Run (or from a link on the desktop or from Task Manager), Explorer crashes and nothing else happens
* Other commands (e.g. winmsd.exe, winver.exe, calc.exe) run fine from Start... Run
* AVG 8.0 cannot update over the web - I get an "unable to connect to update server" error. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled AVG 8.0 from a new download from the free.avg.com website, and am still unable to update
* Windows Update will not run - on going to the Microsoft Update site, IE hangs with an hourglass for around a minute and eventually gives error 0x80072F76

I have so far:
* Run ERUNT
* Run ATF_Cleaner (clean all)
* Run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Quick Scan - the only two items detected are below

Registry Data Items Infected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.
