Below is my HijackThis script. Can someone please help my out in removing this vx55 adware. I have tried spybot but it continues to come back after spybot says its been fixed. It has made my IE Explorer unstable. Every few minutes when I change from one page to another, I receive a microsoft error message shutting down the browser and asking if I would like to send report to MS.

Glad to see you made it back.

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware here:

After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program.
Please be sure to update the reference file following the instructions here:

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives, Folders and Files, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail level", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.

Run the Ad-Aware scan and allow it to remove everything it finds and then REBOOT to allow it to finish.

Then post another log. I'll check it later.

Please consider using Firefox if you need it till IE is fixed.

I followed your instructions and everything appears to be running smoothly. My connection is even faster now. Thanks for your help. I have attached a new HijackThis script as you instructed.

Go here and run online scans (all), allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
