Hi, I have cheapo toshiba laptop (Satellite A135 with Intel Celeron processor) .Operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic. When I use a usb cable to printer, a flash drive, or external hard drive photo images are corrupt. When I print, the image is a mess, with the proper colors spread out into a unrecognizable image. When I download photos onto a flash drive or external hard drive the photos have large streaks of different colors horizontally displayed . In "pictures" window loaded onto the external hard drive the photo thumbnails are distorted as described above and when I click on a thumbnail I get a message that the picture cannot be displayed because it is corrupt. Photos loaded to the external hard drive via Windows Photo Gallery ,however, are not corrupted. I had posted the printer problem here in 11/07 and had not resolved that problem; probably due to my lack of experience or understanding of technical or maybe some basic pc issues. "Paws" was trying to help me with that issue. Due to recent issues with corrupt flash drive and external hard drive photos, I'm thinking that it's not just a printer issue but a usb to image, if you will. I have no problems with usb wireless mouse and text to the flash drive and external hard drive are not corrupted. Help is appreciated. Rookie
