Hello,

I would like to get your help to resolve a problem in my notebook. When I go away after using my computer and let the computer on, the windows shut down automatically after some minutes, but the computer stays on like If were on stand by (all lights are on like if were on use or stand by)....when I try to reactivated it touching the mouse pad nothing happen. Then I have to press the shut down button to start the computer again but I get a warning saying "windows encountered a problem and need to shutted down." And the option about restarting the computer in safe mode or normally..etc.
In addition, sometimes when I go away and the computer stays on, Wndows restart automatically and a small window appear saying " windows encountered some problems and needed to restart." There is an option in this windows asking If you want windows to find solutions on the net" but I never get a feedback.

Another problem happen when I ry to shut down the computer from the option in Start menu.....the computer start closing, the screen goes off but the computer stays on (lights on, fan running..etc...) and after some minutes the computer restart by itself with the same warning " windows has encountered a problem."

I have running the Norton Internet Security 2007 and it is updated.......

I would really appreciatte your help. I don´t know If is a virus or a problem with software or hardwae of the computer.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks in advanced for your answers
