Hey everyone. I've got a HP Pavilion Slimline s3713w Desktop PC, and I'm wanting to upgrade the graphic card. Since it's a slimline pc I'm a little confused on which card I need to get and how big I can go.
Here is the link for my product specifications. Any help would be great. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinf...product=3870526 Thanks Jeremy |

Just an update on the continuing search on my end (nothing really new):
In many threads the factor is referred to as Flex ATX (U1) as seen here @ 250 Watts: Dimension GUB: 150mm (5.9") x 81.5mm (3.2") x 40.5mm (1.6") Or model GBA: 175mm (6.8") x 81.5mm (3.2") x 40.5mm (1.6") But again we want 350<400 Watts. Plus the above are @ 3" & 2" less in length than your current model although width and height match and less length should not matter here: | 9" | 3.25" | 1.6" | ---> (Your model at 9" is basically 225mm > 230mm. 225mm appears to be a common length: 8.8".) http://www.fsp-group.com.tw/english/1_prod...d=1&fid=152 Google on Flex PSUs: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls...;q=flex+atx+psu Often referred to as rack server PSUs as well. This 400 watt matches your height and length but it is too wide again at 100mm rather than the 81.5mm we need. http://chenbro.co.uk/p/290644/zippy-emacs-...psu---2048.html Back to the Google on Slimline PSU in general we find many forums including HP forums that have addressed this issue: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=h...mp;aq=f&oq= Many links in said forums that I will continue to trace as time permits. Hope this helps. |
