Hi all,
I recently installed Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 (minus the Fire wall function because I'm using Sygate) and I've noticed that it's interfering with my ADSL connection (especially when I am doing a video call via Skype/MSN or simple browsing sites such as youtube). I've shut down the application completely and the video calling and browsing works like a charm... turning it back on will slow everything down. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how this can be resolved? I dun want to turn it off each time i want to video call friends. |

Well, I hate to say this, but first of all, Trend Micro needs to support their own "pay to use" program. If you are having a problem with it, they are the first people to contact. If they can not resolve your problem then I would immediately uninstall their product, ask for my money back and install any of the freely available and better products on the market.

I uninstalled the program. I didn't like it much anyways. Good thing I didn't pay for it.
The company I work for has an agreement with Trend Micro to supply the program for free to employees. I thought it was a good deal and took them up on the offer, guess I was wrong. lol Could you recommend some of the better products to be using? I'm currently running Avira. |

Avira is a good product... Although I feel its scanning engine is one of the slowest I have ever seen.
I prefer Avast FREE for my virus/spyware protection. I don't use anything more than Windows firewall... I've heard Comodo is a good firewall to use. Read here and you'll see that I am not the best person to ask for advice on these products: http://forums.whatthetech.com/anti_spyware_t103587.html |
