Before downloading that video / song, make sure you don't use a software for it and use some tested, widely accepted web page like www.vidtomp3.com/

I re-imaged a laptop for a girl i knew once, i spent like 2 days finding all the latest and greatest drivers , updating it...and she downloaded a 'song' and got a virus, corrupted the registry and she needed to format it again. I refused the second time. Be careful downloaders!!

I'm all for helping someone no charge the first time. I don't even mind if it eats up some of my free time.
But, especially if I explain how it happened in the first place, and take the time to show someone how to keep it from happening again...
If they don't listen, and still want my help, I charge them. People learn a lesson a lot faster if it comes out of their pocket.

That might sound mercenary of me, but its that or be abused all the time. tongue.gif
